Field Assessment
On June 3 to 6, 2024, the PCRL project team of the General Directorate of Local Communities (GDLC) conducted an assessment to collect information and update the Community Protected Areas (CPAs) of the project in the three target provinces: Pursat, Battambang, and Banteay Meanchey.
The objective of this study was to: 1. Collect information on the challenges, shortcomings, needs, and potentials of farmers in the CPAs through the application of ecological climate-resilient farming methods. 2. Strengthen the geographical capacity of the CPAs. 3. Update data for monitoring and evaluation of project progress.
The assessment achieved good results as planned, with the participation of officials from the GDLC, PCRL's Project Coordinators in the three target provinces, and key officers of the Department of Environment in the three target provinces—totaling 11 people.
